Pretrial Diversion: Pretrial Diversion may be offered to qualified individuals who have been arrested for a misdemeanor or a felony. Such persons, if approved by the State Attorney’s Office or the Court System, may avoid trial and punishment altogether by completing a variety of tasks, supervision, and/or educational courses as ordered by the State Attorney or the Court. Upon program completion, the case may be closed without processing or adjudication.

Case Supervision: Court Options supervises clients in the completion of judicially ordered tasks. Typically, clients meet with us at least one time per month and review their progress towards any of the following:

Supervision of compliance with community service hours

Supervision of compliance with restitution and restitution collections

Supervision of compliance with any ordered services/tasks

Referrals to appropriate providers of substance abuse and mental health services and supervision of the completion of such programs

Mediation: Our mediation program is designed to provide mediation services for clients involved in small claims actions, civil actions, family actions, and criminal cases. In mediation, a neutral third person, the mediator, assists the parties involved in resolving any issues in a manner that respects the parties’ right to self-determination.

Court Specialists: Our Court Specialists participate in all hearings/proceedings for our clients. Court Specialists present client progress to the court, attorneys, probation officers, and social service agency personnel. Further, Court Specialists can immediately respond to court inquiries regarding our programs and services.

Criminal Record Sealing and Expunction Workshop: This workshop is facilitated by an attorney that has experience in record sealing and expunction. All required forms for filing are completed with the assistance of our staff. Upon completion of the workshop, all the client needs to do is file the completed paperwork with the appropriate court.
